Here are a couple of more detailed shots of the caves. Sort of up close and personal. Thanks to Dave for taking these pictures and also for the great hike to the caves. Dave and I took a new route when we went. It was still quite a hike. Oh, and Dave recommends wearing hiking boots for this trip no matter what they cost!. Doc Martins just don't hold up in the wilderness like they do in the city :-)
Here is a shot that Dave took of me deep inside the largest cave we entered. This cave extends hundreds of feet (maybe thousands?) far into the mountain. This spot was probably about 200 feet in. Absolutely spectacular. The second shot is of me exiting the cave. As you can see the entrance is pretty large but narrows to a very small crawlway within just a few feet. A little spooky when entering this cave for the first time. As you can see by this picture, one tends to get a little dirty crawling around through a hole in the side of a mountain. But it's all in the name of fun and adventure. Just make sure you don't wear anything too nice.

Here is a general map for the cave shown above.
