As you can probably guess this is my page of motorcycles. This page is dedicated to all the motorcycles I've owned and to all those I will acquire. Plain and simply I love motorcycles. It's my passion. I have many interests but nothing puts a light in my eyes like these babies. I do have to admit that snowboarding does come close but there is no freedom I have ever experienced like riding bikes. While in Dallas if I'm not training in Kung-Fu I'm out riding a motorcycle.

Check out my Motorcycle Video page for some exciting clips of one of my favorite things... riding REALLY fast. I'll be adding more videos as I get them.

Or check out my EX500 (Ninja 500) Project page to see pics of my latest purchase and and how the reviving of the little bike is coming along.

Ok, a little history. Since I was a little kid (OK, so most people think I still am) I was always fascinated by motorcycles. But, being a little kid and all, I never got one until I was 15. I'm in my 30's now (Yikes!) so I've been riding for quite a few years. Anyway... I bought my first motorcycle at age fifteen. It was nothing profound but our firsts always hold a special place deep down inside right? It was a 1975(?) Suzuki TS 125 enduro bike. It was in very nice condition and was affordable. A major key for any fifteen year old. I then went about two years without owning a bike. (If you want to know why then scroll down to the caption above the TS125) Sort of. One of my friends purchased a 1984 Yamaha RZ-350 and did not want his parents to know so he left it with me for a couple of months while he was in college. Lucky me :-) After he took the bike to college with him I really had the motorcycle bug bad. So I found a cheap (also important at age 18) 1982 Honda FT500 Ascot.

A couple of months later I found an incredible deal (very, very important at all ages) on a Yamaha FZX700 Fazer. Oh, man! I fell in love with this machine the moment I laid eyes on it. I kept this bike for many years. I also picked up a 1982 Kawasaki GPZ550 along the way. Next, I found a 1986 Kawasaki EX250 Ninja that did not run. It was almost free so I snagged it up because it was in really good condition. Then, somewhere around 1992, I sold the Fazer, GPZ, and little Ninja so I could afford to move to Colorado and go to school. There I became employed at the local Kawasaki dealership and after a while purchased a brand new 1994 ZX-9R. Later, the payments of the ZX were not doing my wallet any good so I downgraded to a 1988 Yamaha FZR-400. Some years later (1989?) I purchased a 1992 GSX-R 750 for a more comfortable street ride. Well, it's more comfortable than the FZR anyway. More recently I sold the 3 bikes that I had accumulated (a Yamaha R-5 project bike, the FZR400, and the GSX-R 750). I was able to take the money from these 3 and purchase my latest love: A 1997 Suzuki TL1000S. (who says you can't by happiness)

This is my current ride. I was able to sell the 3 I had to just pay for this one. This is a 1997 Suzuki TL1000S. I really like this bike. It has a lot of character for a sport bike. It's a V-Twin and has lots of low-end grunt to it. I've recently added a PCII (a fuel injection computer), a K&N high flow air filter, and a full Yoshimura race exhaust system with carbon fiber mufflers. Now it sounds mean and IS mean. This thing will wheelie around 3,000 RPM without even breathing hard. Fun, fun, fun!!
I picked this up around the summer of 1989 for a small sum because my 400 was not adequate for street riding. It had a few bumps and bruises but I cleaned it up, tuned it up, and turned it into a pretty nice sport bike. I've ridden other GSX-R's and have always admired their great handling and good power. This one had power 'o plenty but, man, did it handle like a pig. I never did get the kinks out the handling problems so it eventually had to go. Look right above here though to see it's replacement.
One of my last beauties, and the tool for my second endeavor into amateur road racing. This may be a 400cc machine but it does just fine keeping up with bigger bikes. It will easily overtake most larger bikes in tight twisties. Loads of fun to slide around. As I don't race anymore though, this one had to go as well. See note above.
