The only new vehicle I have ever purchased. I was poor in college and often
thought it was a mistake to purchase a $10,000 machine in my finical state.
Of course all remorse quickly vanished as soon as I headed out for 100 miles
of the most curvaceous canyon roads you ever laid eyes on. Did I mention quickly?
This bike was the definition of fast and sleek. It handled like a dream too.
I can't even think about this bike without a big grin spreading across my face.
It was that good!

Ahh, my first true love. This is my 1986 Fazer that I bought when I was 18.
It used Yamaha's then new Genesis Engine. It was a 5 valve per cylinder,
dual overhead cams, 699cc inline 4-cylinder engine. This baby would move.
I couldn't have purchased this fine machine without a short loan from a good
friend of mine Jeff. Thanks Jeff! I'll never forget that. I owe him a lot
for helping me get this bike. I had many, many good years on this one. I
ended up having to sell it to raise money to move away and go to school.

I bought this GPZ from a guy I used to work with. I guess he needed the money
and I could always use another motorcycle. I bought it cheap and sold it for
about three times what I paid for it. It was more of a secondary bike for friends
and such. It was a fun bike nonetheless.

Here is what is known as a Yamaha R-5. Circa 1970 me thinks. This was the
predecessor to the mighty RD350. This was a 2 cylinder 2-stroke and was quite
a handful in it's day. I bought this from a guy I went to motorcycle mechanic
school with. It was a complete piece of junk. I completely rebuilt the engine,
cleaned it up a little, got a few new parts for it then I let it sit for about
10 years. What a waste. I recently sold this one along with a couple of other
bikes to by the TL1000S that you can drool over up above.
